I said it out loud before it happened. I put it on camera. A week later I was stood in front of Rio Ferdinand.
Saying it out loud
I filmed a video saying I wanted to meet Rio Ferdinand. No plan, no contact, no favour being called in. Just saying the thing I wanted on camera and putting it out there.
People talk about manifesting like it is magic. It is not. It is being clear about what you want, then putting yourself in the rooms where it can happen.
A week later
Seven days after posting that video, I was stood in front of Rio Ferdinand. One of the greatest defenders this club has ever had, and one of the reasons a lot of us fell in love with that United team.
No script. Just a conversation, and a photo I will keep for a long time.
Rio watched it, commented, and posted it live
The part I still cannot quite get my head around: Rio watched the video. He commented on it. Then he posted it live to his story with the words keep up the good work.
That is not a metric. That is the person you looked up to telling you to keep going.
Why this matters
There is always a United connection. Every story I tell comes back to that.
Back yourself, keep showing up, and be ready when the room opens. That is the whole thing.
Manifested, then earned.
