The journey
From South Wales to trusted rooms.
Growing up in South Wales, football meant Manchester United, Newport County and the stories supporters carried between generations. The Welsh Red was Gerryn's starting point: a personal identity rooted in the club he had always followed.
His professional background in senior business events taught him how to prepare a room, understand an audience and build relationships with care. When he began making football content, that experience shaped a different approach: measured, informed and interested in the person rather than manufactured controversy.
Short-form formats such as Baller FC built reach. Conversations with Anderson, Mikaël Silvestre, Dion Dublin and Eric Djemba-Djemba showed what trusted access could reveal. His connection to Newport County became part of the work too, leading to a published Players Lounge episode with former captain Mark O'Brien and a recorded conversation with Wales international Robert Earnshaw.
GH Connects was founded as the next chapter: a distinct home for long-form conversations with players, creators and athletes, created from the relationships Gerryn had built.
His aim is not to chase controversy. It is to help players tell their stories with the context, dignity and attention they deserve.
