Why should Manchester United keep Marcus Rashford?

Marcus Rashford is not just another player. He is one of Manchester's own. He came through the academy, he understands what this club means, and despite all the criticism over the last couple of years, people seem to have forgotten just how good he can be.

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with Michael Carrick part of that coaching staff, Rashford scored over 50 goals for Manchester United. That was not a one-season wonder. That was not a fluke. We saw it over multiple seasons, and we have seen that he still has that ability.

And now Carrick is officially managing. The relationship is already there. Carrick knows Rashford. He knows his game. He was part of the coaching setup when Rashford was playing some of the best football of his career.

What does Rashford still offer United?

So my question is this: why get rid of a player we have already seen succeed at Manchester United?

He scores goals. He has delivered for us in big moments. And unlike most players we get linked with, he genuinely loves this football club.

I will be honest, I thought his chapter at United was closed for good. But if there is even a chance that Carrick can help bring back the best version of Rashford, is that not worth finding out?

Barcelona made a huge mistake not activating the option to sign him permanently. Let Rashford show them exactly what they missed out on. He has already started doing that. And I think he has a point to prove. Not just to Barcelona, but to the people who wrote him off, and to the manager who decided he was not part of the plans anymore. United could really benefit from that motivation.

How does Rashford fit next season's squad?

When you look at the squad for next season, it makes even more sense to keep him. With the Champions League back, if we have Cunha, Mbeumo, Sesko, Amad and Rashford, alongside young talents like Shea Lacey and JJ Gabriel coming through, that is a frightening amount of attacking talent before we have even made another signing.

And let us be honest: in today's market you are not getting a player with Rashford's experience, quality and ceiling for anything close to 70 million pounds.

That is why I think Manchester United should keep Marcus Rashford.
